Even when you haven’t said a word

I missed you so much

I missed you to the point where I manifested you back

Here again after I put you in the back of my mind

After love and loss

After the grief and growth

I feel like I met you twice

If God gives us who we are

I had to find myself again

All to figure out I never lost me

& that you are my favorite reflection

Sometimes you’re in the back of my mind

Other times you’re in the front

Maybe I loved you in another lifetime

Cause I know we’ve done this more than once

Perhaps it was raining in April

Or the bitterness in December

It’s over for our seasons

But I’m happy that I remember
